It turns out that you don't have to wave scholarships or million dollar contracts at athletes who simply have a love for the game of football and wan† to play it as long as they can. If all goes well Altoona will have a pro-development football team in the very near future comprised of 50-60 players with a wide range of football experience behind them. The Altoona Bouncers held tryouts recently at the Booker T. Washington Center in Altoona will practice at various indoor facilities throughout the winter and will play their first game on May 23rd.
