5/30/14 At Foot of Ten Elementary's Civil War Day for 4th graders in conjunction with their PA history lessons. Civil War calvary re-enactor Charlie Doutt of Roaring Spring, explains to fourth graders why a section of the Union battle flag was cut away forming a swallowtail design. It was thought that it was not as insulting to the Union to have this partial flag falll in battle as opposed to a full flag. Behind him is his horse Hank.
